I had my stomach settled on apple and cardamom fritters for brunch this morning but a quick inspection of the fruit bowl soon put an end to that idea. Store cupboard brunch it was then!
I simply used this recipe, and added in 40gr mixed chopped nuts and 40gr of dark chocolate chips. Deliciously simple!
*scribbles apples on shopping list*
Ooh yum, like the sound of the intended fritter and the actual pancakes you made. hardly ever think to make pancakes, yet they are soooo good. I've got more apples than I know what to do with - going to make some more apple puree in a bit.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, you have reminded me to make pancakes again. Both ideas sound gooooooood!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat these look, I am going to have to give them a try!
ReplyDeleteOh breakfast pancakes - it's been too long since I had some. Pass me the maple syrup someone.
ReplyDeleteChoclette - they were really great, saving the apple fritters for next week :) Puree sounds great, I made (and froze) a spiced chunky apple sauce which is delicious on ice cream!
ReplyDeletePDNFTA - thank you! This recipe is a good base for adding in anything you have lying around :)
Laura - definitly a treat! Doubt I could eat these every weekend but I'd give it a good shot first!
Phil - you read my syrup mind! Doused in maple is always the way forward!
These look delicious, I will have to make some soon.
